Bright House Customers are Frustrated About Spectrum Switch

by CJ Nice of tech4today.net

Charter bought Time Warner Cable and Bright House making all those companies now under Spectrum. However after the merging of the companies, customers started giving complains regarding the changes.

Few problems that were raised are higher bills, taking time to switch phone lines, lost channels and price hike without changing the cable TV package

Spectrum then responded with the following statement:

"The business name change follows the acquisition by Charter Communications of Bright House Networks and Time Warner Cable that occurred in May of 2016. Since that time, there has been a tremendous amount of work going on behind the scenes that has been done without or rare impact on our customers.

As to the question of billing – Even though there has been incredible response to the launch of Spectrum packages in Florida, most customers still have their previous package of cable TV and internet services from Bright House Networks. They’ll continue to have the same programming, internet speeds and features at the same price. Additionally, every day many customers’ promotions expire and their package price rises to the regular monthly price of the services provided and does not have anything to do with the introduction of Spectrum.

Any viewer or customer contacting you for a service related issue  – it would likely not be related to the introduction of new package and price offerings from Spectrum. The network is still the same one customers have been receiving when it operated under the name Bright House Networks. Our commitment with Spectrum remains the same in that customer service is a top priority.

The effects of switching to a Spectrum package are impacted by many factors: the type of TV, internet or voice package chosen, whether a customer is currently receiving promotional or other discounts, and desired equipment like DVRs or wireless routers. Customers can call us to discuss their options, and either choose a Spectrum package or retain their current package."
