by HN Porter of tech4today.net

If you are a Spectrum customer than my guess is you are already aware of the rate changes made late last year when the cable internet and phone company made a decision to increase its service rates. This meant an additional $7.61 per month for customers with a full suite of Spectrum services.

• Broadcast cable TV surcharge increased from $8.85 to $9.95/month. This according to Spectrum  "reflects costs incurred from local broadcast cable TV stations."

Spectrum receivers increased from $6.99 to $7.50/month.

• for Spectrum Internet for current customers who subscribe to Spectrum TV, there was  An increase from $54.99 to $59.99/month.

• For Spectrum Internet for current customers who do not subscribe to Spectrum cable TV got an increase from $64.99 to $ 65.99/month.

A spokesperson for Charter Communications said in a statement at the time, "The price of Spectrum Internet reflects the dramatically faster speeds and investments we’ve made in reliability and quality. Earlier this year, we doubled the starting download speed of Spectrum Internet from 100 to 200 megabits per second. Lastly, our receivers are still comparable or lower in price than our major competitors'.

The billing increase was effective as of November 2018
