Charter Spectrum widens its service coverage

by HN Porter of tech4today.net

Charter  Spectrum, one of the biggest providers of cable television, internet, and phone services, will soon have a wider service coverage area. The cable TV provider currently  provides services to 26 million customers throughout 41 states and is in the process of acquiring Country Cable, which offers service in Coulee Dam.

"Spectrum is currently in the process of upgrading our network in the Elmer City, Coulee Dam, Grand Coulee and Electric City areas," said Bret Picciolo, senior director of communications for Spectrum in the Pacific Northwest. "These upgrades will enable us to deliver enhanced service offerings to both residential and business customers in the area. We plan to offer Spectrum TV, Internet and Voice in the near future."
"The upgrades we are currently working on are behind the scenes and will allow us to deliver an enhanced video product, along with internet and phone services, largely over the existing fiber-rich network," Picciolo said.

Spectrum did not specify exactly what will be offered and when, however, Picciolo said that information will be confirmed at a later date.

At the moment Spectrum offers limited television services in the area, and the upgrades to their network will increase the quality of the available television services, as well as adding internet and phone services to what is available.
