Charter Spectrum's Year of Faster Internet Speeds - A look into 2018

2018 has been a winning year for Charter Spectrum, known cable internet and phone service provider, in terms of delivering better internet service to it customers. Just last month Spectrum Internet Gig launched to an additional 1 million home in the U.S. The cable internet service provider delivers gigabit connections across virtually 41 states with a total of up to 50 million locations and counting. The introduction of Spectrum Internet Gig on Oahu late last year in November saw Spectrum offering gigabit connections to roughly 1 million homes and small and medium-sized business a week, on average, covering virtually all of their U.S. footprint. 

In almost every area where Spectrum is offered the starting high speed Internet are up to 100 Mbps and cities covered Spectrum Internet, where starting speeds is up to  200 Mbps, are growing in number with passing time. Spectrum Internet Ultra, with downloads of at least 400 Mbps, is available throughout almost the entire footprint of the Internet Service Provider. Spectrum Internet Assist, bringing low-cost broadband for just $14.99** a month, is available to eligible families and seniors everywhere Spectrum serves.

Here is how Spectrum Internet Gig rolled out to almost their entire footprint in 2018:
- Spectrum gig roll out launched in November of 2017 in Oahu.
- In April, Spectrum neared availability to 23 million homes with their spring roll out of Spectrum Internet Gig.
- By June, the “Summer of Gig” had arrived for four million more homes and businesses in cities and towns across America.
- In August, Spectrum wrapped up the “Summer of Gig” by making gigabit connections available to another 6 million-plus addresses.
- In October of 2018, the Internet Service Provider drove to the end zone rolling out to nearly 12 million more U.S. homes in places like St. Louis, Columbus, Ohio and Fort Worth, Texas.
