Shazam is probably the biggest music identifier app there is. You can open the app to a song while it's playing and it will identify the song for you. The app is directly linked to your Spotify, Facebook, twitter, and Pandora so it's easy for the user to save songs and even create their own Shazam playlist.

2. Snapchat

Compatibility: Android, iOS
Snapchat has recently entered into a deal with Shazam. Shazam has now embedded into Snapchat so Snapchat users can now Shazam song without downloading the Shazam app. This is highly convenient for users as it not only saves users the effort but also saves phone space. 

3. Soundhound
Fee: Free
Compatibility: Android, iOS
This app helps you identify songs just by humming the melody or sing a few lyrics. This comes effective for those time when you have a part of a song stuck in your head but can't quite figure out what the rest of the song is.
